Role Summary

As a Trainee Sales Advisor you will be enrolled onto our Sales Academy to gain the skills and experience necessary to progress your sales career within the group. Based within the sales department, you will complete a 3 month structured programme which will expose you to both the B2C and B2B sales teams. No previous sales experience required.

You will be trained and coached on all aspects of the sales cycle from preparing to contact prospects and using appropriate communication to handling objections and closing a sale. After this you will specialise in your role within the contractor sales team or the agency facing sales team.

This position has an excellent starting salary with a bonus scheme taking your OTE to a minimum of £27,000.


Modules covered within the Academy include:

  • Communication and language
  • Introduction to Sales Funnels
  • Navigation of systems including Salesforce CRM
  • Fact finding to identify needs
  • Presenting your product
  • Objection handling
  • Closing the sale
  • Follow up
  • Account management
  • Working towards KPIs and targets
  • Compliance and legislation


Role and Responsibilities:

  • To learn and develop sales skills within the Sales Academy whilst working closely with the B2C and B2B sales teams within Parasol
  • To learn and undertake processes which provide background and knowledge which will support you within your progression within the sales department
  • To take personal ownership of your learning along with your line manager and the wider sales department
  • To represent Parasol to potential new clients in a professional, courteous and helpful manner at all times
  • The role is permanent and progression will be into one of our sales areas


Skills and Experience Required:

  • No previous sales experience required
  • Enthusiastic with an interest in progressing with a career in Sales
  • Motivated to learn and develop skills
  • Computer literate
  • Hard working with a “can do” attitude
  • Self motivated and proactive with ability to use own initiative
  • Good communicator
  • Strong team player
