Job Summary:

The role holder will be responsible for driving an engagement agenda across our business areas, bringing together all of our employees, both within Optionis and in Parasol, into communities who are engaged with our business.

You will translate large volumes of complex information, from multiple sources, into customer friendly language and engage key stakeholders across the group. You will build relationships and work collaboratively with teams, often aligned to separate brands across the UK to continually improve our engagement approach and deliver proactive business communications in the most effective manner.

You will help manage and coordinate relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders during a period of significant change, helping Optionis to reach its vision.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ownership of writing copy for employee communications, both planned and reactive to all employee groups including the CEO update, monthly newsletter and transformation programme update

Develop and manage an annual and monthly calendar of engagement activities both for group employees and umbrella employees

Lead the programme of employee recognition and awards aligned to our values

Maintain the various internal communication platforms held by the company and ensure that content is exciting, accurate and updated regularly to drive employee usage

Research and develop external and internal content feeds and industry information relevant to our various employee communities

Drive knowledge of the business, its performance and transformation programme through communications channels

Co-ordinate employee engagement forums and highlight knowledge gaps and communication requirements to SMOT and Exec

Manage annual satisfaction surveys and more dynamic temperature checks on engagement and satisfaction and support HR in post survey activities

Develop the employer brand and working with HR, create and continuously improve collateral and content to support and build that employer brand

Support the attraction and on-boarding experience of new employees through best in industry communications

Working with internal Business Analytics team ensure relevant MI is available to help shape the agenda

Optimise the use of various social media channels, developing content and driving external understanding of the business

Support the annual calendar of external awards submissions that are employee facing

Support any company standards activities the company applies for such as ST Best 100 Companies or IIP

Working with the Transformational Change Director, manage the company communication to employees to engage on the transformation agenda, promoting it across communities

Working with HR, develop the content for careers pages

Skills and Knowledge:


Experience of working across a full range of social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc

Previous ownership of complex company communications across various formats

A keen understanding of commercial business requirements

Experience of building an employer brand

Advanced systems capability


Relevant qualification

Facilitation skills

Experience of writing awards and standards submissions

Experience in using systems such as Eloqua
